PALMETTO EXCEL CENTER TO HOST RIBBON CUTTING AND BLOCK PARTY
Events to be held at Trident Technical College’s Thornley Campus in North Charleston on August 17
North Charleston, SC – The Palmetto Excel Center will host a ribbon cutting ceremony from 3 – 4 p.m., followed by a community block party, open to the public from 4 – 7 p.m.
The ribbon cutting ceremony, from 3 – 4 p.m., will include community dignitaries and education advocates, joined by both Palmetto Excel Center and Palmetto Goodwill’s Boards and staff. This ceremony will take place at the Palmetto Excel Center on Trident Technical College’s Thornley Campus at 7000 Rivers Avenue, Building 200, North Charleston, SC 29406.
From 4 – 7 p.m., everyone is invited to attend a community block party at Trident Technical College in North Charleston. Food, beverages, and treats will be offered while supplies last. An assortment of activities and family fun will also be available, plus a local DJ to celebrate the upcoming launch of South Carolina’s first 21 and over public charter high school.
Tours of the Palmetto Excel Center and interview opportunities will be available with: Palmetto Excel Center Director Dr. Ruth Chambers-Turner and Palmetto Goodwill President and CEO Brian Itzkowitz.
