During hurricane season, we want to ensure the safety and preparedness of all our team members, especially those in areas we serve that are more likely to be impacted by severe weather or flooding events.

The safety of our team is always our top priority. Here are some important steps you should take before the threat of a tropical storm or hurricane is upon us:

  1. Create an emergency plan for you, your family, and any pets.
  • Discuss the plan with your family and plan for possible evacuations or sheltering in place. Know your evacuation routes and have a communication plan.

  1. Build your emergency kit.
  • Ensure you have essentials such as water, non-perishable food, medications, flashlights, batteries, prescriptions, and important documents. Learn what to put in an emergency supply kit here.

  1. Stay informed.
  • Keep updated with reliable weather sources and follow any local advisories or evacuation orders.

  1. Protect your home.
  • Think ahead about what you will need to be prepared to protect the place you live in before an evacuation is imminent.
