On Saturday, November 23, 2024, Palmetto Goodwill hosted its first-ever Thrift Crawl, and it was a day to remember. The event began with an exclusive sip-and-shop breakfast with mimosas at our Rivers Avenue store, offering participants the chance to enjoy early shopping before the store opened. The morning included a curated selection of specialty items from our GW Boutique and e-commerce shop, setting the tone for an incredible day of thrifting. To add a little extra fun, we kicked off the day with a gift card scavenger hunt, where riddles were spoken over the store speaker, guiding participants to hidden clues throughout the store. It was a great way to get everyone excited for the day ahead!
After the exciting start, attendees boarded the Thrift Crawl bus and headed to several Palmetto Goodwill locations. On the bus, we enjoyed music, trivia, and the chance to get to know each other while heading to our next stop. Each location featured unique treasures, with participants taking advantage of the all-day 25% off purchases of $25 or more. From hidden gems to unbelievable deals, the thrill of the hunt was in full swing, and the energy and excitement were contagious.
Throughout the crawl, shoppers shared stories, swapped tips, and celebrated their favorite finds, fostering a sense of community among thrifting enthusiasts.

The event concluded with a group lunch, where participants came together to relax, share their shopping adventures, and celebrate the day’s successes. It was the perfect way to wrap up an event that combined great deals, great company, and support for a great cause.
